The 21st century has brought us a lot of changes. Ranging from technology, medical science up to the point of even human rights laws been implemented and enforced. I mean today we have division such as the Women and Child Protection Unit( NAMPOL) Social Welfare services etc.
I appreciate these changes. Why you might ask, well my role model is my mother. We all know that being a women in the past hasn't always been easy and fair for the female half of our nation. Some jobs were only for men, women had very little say when it came to political affairs, women were only required to do house task and not work for themselves, the list goes on and on. Despite all these atrocities being committed against women my ROLE MODEL managed to make it through it and yet single-handedly raised all her younger siblings including their children and that of her own. It amazes me to this day how she did and where she got the courage,strength and the ability to go on.
Today being and diabetic and a pensioner she still keeps motivating us when she sees us growing weak, she councils when we drift of the path, she prays sincerely everyday for us and she even would go that extra mile to help when we are in trouble. I am truly honored to have a mother as strong as my mother. God bless her and may she still keep being the role model she has been to all of us, be it friend, family or foe.... My role model ....
